Hi, I'm Kelly!

I take calculated risks like investing in my first home in my twenties, moving to San Diego while not knowing a soul, and quitting my corporate job in finance to start my own business.

I received a bachelor’s degree in business accounting and worked in the hospitality industry, serving others for almost 17 years, starting my career at Omni Hotel in San Diego. Twelve of those years were in Corporate Finance and Accounting with industry giants Hilton and Marriott. Over that time, I advanced to Finance Executive, responsible for the finances of multiple hotels. From there, I expanded my financial expertise by completing the Certificate in Financial Planning program at Pepperdine University Graziadio Business School.

At 35, I finally decided to start investing in the stock market and financially I thought I did everything right. I bought a house, paid cash for my car and had an emergency fund. Until…

my doctor told me I was in renal failure at 37. I had to take a medical leave of absence from work for 6 months and had two major surgeries (a nephrectomy, dialysis then a kidney transplant). I was confronted with not only the physical toll of recovery but was hit with over $500,000 in medical bills. Thankfully with family & friends support, along with my financial skills and medical insurance, I paid those bills off in just a couple of months. Turns out I did do everything right, there were just bumps in the road along the way.

At 38, I was determined to never feel financially insecure again. I invested everything I had in the stock market and five years later I became financially independent.

At 43, I wanted to stop trading my time for money because the gift of time is priceless to me. My life is priceless! Then on Thanksgiving Day, God told me he had something bigger in store for me. So, that day I put in my 2-weeks’ notice and walked away from my corporate finance career and the hospitality industry.

Life is too short not to take calculated risks, embrace your passion, and enjoy life at the same time. My story is meant to inspire others and transform life’s challenges into opportunities to grow and thrive! I am driven by the belief that anyone, no matter your circumstances, has the ability to create financial freedom and peace of mind.

Now at 45, I am starting a new chapter in my life, my journey toward motherhood. I truly believe it’s never too late to accomplish your dreams. That’s why I also started my own business by combining my passion for finance, service, and education into one.
